Note to Rishi: Places You Need to Push your Blog Post after publishing

If you are reading this then you have found my super secret list of places I like to push my blog post to after publishing. I plan to keep updating this list as I find more places to submit to.

#0 Before submission make sure you have amazing copy, unique images, bolded headings, numbers/stats, and sub headlines. Review this post here if you have to. SEO is your best friend after the initial spike.

#1 Post to twitter (early mornings and late nights work best)
– directly tweet it to a few people
– use all twitter accounts you have access to
– include “tweet this” link in the newsletter (create a custom link)

#2 Post it to Facebook (early mornings and late nights work best)
– post it on all FB accounts

#3 “Stumble” your site on StumbleUpon
– include a review
– share it with all friends on SU

#4 Ask or Answer a question on Quora that points to your blog post
– Look for a question and answer it with a link to your blog post
– Create your own question and answer it if no question exists

#5 Google Buzz It

#6 Hacker News
– Refer to this blog post to write your headline

#7 Reddit
– Look for a subreddit and post it there

#8 Digg

#9 If you mention any big brands. Send it to their PR department via twitter and email.

#10 +1 it on Google Search

#11 Add it to the “Greatest Hits” or “Archive” page on your own blog

#12 Submit it to all newsletter subscribers if it is worthy

#13 Stay active in the comments – try to reply to each one
